Welcome Ladies & Gentleman to our "Wedding Page" (which had to be re-done, cos the other one stopped working!!!). In January 2005 I got married to a wondeful wonderful man. The run up to the big day, all hell had broken loose trying to get everything organised.
Like other normal people that are to be married, we have been running around like headless chickens trying to find out all the "people" and "places" in Sri Lanka that could help us out for our BIG DAY.
We have already bought ALL the books and tried all sorts of different ways of typing "Sri Lanka Wedding" and "Bridal Saree" into so many search engines on the net. Some were helpful, some were just crap. What we did find is that you have to physically LEAVE your house, drive around and look for yourself.
Many people will tell you who they think is the "best" for hair, make up etc. etc. but you have to make those decisions for yourself, after all its YOUR BIG DAY (not theirs) and also be careful. You are at your weakest and can be blackmailed into doing things by people that you will regret 5 years down the line when you take out your wedding album and have a look at those photos!
So what this site will hopefully do for you, is to give you a few ideas of whats in and around Colombo these days, good luck!!!
